Message in the sky

7 September 2012

The message in a bottle has received a makeover in the form of these colourful balloons.  We think the graphic text combined with the meaning behind the words makes a powerful statement and a cool piece of art.

Mismatch

24 August 2012

We love the charm of these mismatched tables and chairs.  When done right, we think the eclectic effect is refreshingly unconventional.

Made of Light

27 June 2012

These hauntingly beautiful sculptures by French artist Cédric Le Borgne have left us mesmerized.  Made from chicken wire, these illuminated figures light up the sky, quietly interacting with the world around them, and we think they are the ultimate street art.

Cool Pools

19 June 2012

It’s warming up outside, so naturally we’re dreaming of spending lazy weekend days beside the pool.  Preferably in one of these artfully designed oases.  Visit our Beautiful Spaces board on Pinterest to see more of our favourite pools.

The Face in Dove Print

6 June 2012

A lot of what we create at MiH stems back to Chloe’s Mum, Chekkie Maskell, who was the original muse for the brand in the 60’s and 70’s.  Chekkie’s natural sense of style is a bit understated, completely effortless and always cool – she’s the ultimate MiH girl, and our very favourite denim icon.  It seemed only natural to incorporate her image into the line, so we enlisted the help of graphic artist Christopher David Ryan.  Christopher beautifully transformed this archival image of Chekkie into the face-in-dove tee – an icon in the making.
