As we drink copious cups of tea and sit as close as physically possible to the radiator on this cold, cold day, this bright & breezy behind-the-scenes film of our Spring-Summer 2012 Collection look book shoot is exactly what we need. Ruby Aldridge frolics in the West Sussex countryside, running in fields, showing us her (genuine) guitar skills, climbing walls and playing on the swings. Oh how we wish we were there right now.

We have been dreaming about glorious sunshine, clear blue skies and beautiful beaches since spotting this book about Bondi Beach style on Chloe’s desk.

Due to the ever changing weather we are currently experiencing in London (four seasons in one day!) this book really is the closest we are going to get to such things.

We often find lovely vintage pieces around the design room and this morning was no exception. We spotted a vintage shirt that Chloe picked up during a holiday in France last summer. The shirt came from a little town called Blaye, just outside Bordeaux and acted as inspiration for the St Germain shirt in the current Summer collection.

The label sewn into the back of the shirt says it originates from Arcachon, which is a really beautiful beach resort near Cap Ferret.

The nights are getting lighter and despite the bitter cold wind in London today, there have definitely been glimpses of Spring over the last few days. As a result, this seems like a perfect time to post a behind-the-scenes film of our SS11 lookbook shoot. If watching the beautiful Marloes Horst walking on a Dorset beach doesn’t get you in the mood for (a distinctly British) Summer, nothing will.
